/// VIRTUAL REALITY

I design and create VR experiences, combining 360 video, motion graphics and audio that help transport the user to location they are not able to be at - or present a situation in an idealistic way.

360 Video

Be immersed in a filmed 360 environment, video is edited with motion graphics, audio and can even include a scripted host / actor.

Use examples : Tours / Training / Showcase / Brand Experience

Interactive

Developed in the Unity engine, fully immersive 3d environments the user interacts with using their hands & controllers.

Use examples : Games / simulations / Brand Experience

/// HEINEKEN : Pub for the Future

Heineken are an industry leader in sustainability and have created a number of technological breakthroughs in their pursuit to make pubs more environmentally friendly. To help showcase these and provide pub landlords with information on what tech they can adopt into their establishments to make them more sustainable we created ‘Pub for the Future’

This is a completely designed in CGI pub with multiple locations that the user can visit, clicking on hot spots to reveal information on the technology highlighted.

I worked with a 3D artist and software developer to produce the visuals and the Unity based VR / Web GL app to run the experience.

/// UNIVERSITY OF STRATHCLYDE: Strathoscope

UoS identified a need to stand out when it comes to foreign student recruitment. The Uni has a high intake from both the US and India I created a virtual guided tour of the campus, learning facilities and Glasgow attractions to help give prospective students a more immersive way to understand where they will hopefully call ‘home’ for the next 4-7 years if they choose to study at UoS. The Experience has been used widely at recruitment drives and there are plans to expand into other areas for the University.

standard life - helping hand

/// STANDARD LIFE: Helping Hands

I designed a concept in which the user is sat at a real round table within the Standard Life HQ in Edinburgh. The user then puts on the Meta Quest headset and is then taken to a virtual version of the room they are in. This then transitions into a digital world where we prime them on the experience ahead.

We then transport them into a hybrid environment. On one side they can see a customers flat, on the other they see the call centre. An agent and customer then engage in conversation – a reconstruction of a real traumatic event – they are both positioned on a side of the same table the user is at, who is a ‘fly on the wall’ in the conversation.

Due to the nature of the experience content, i cannot post it here for general viewing, I am happy to demo the experience for anyone considering a similar experience.

/// FOR EV

THIS VIDEO IS 360 – USE MOUSE / TRACKPAD TO EXPLORE.

I worked with G53 Architects to produce a number of scenes which I then edited together with audio and transitions to create a VR experience that FOR EV could take to various trade shows and exhibitions to showcase their upcoming work.

**Branding in the video was prior to our re-brand.

/// VIDI

THIS VIDEO IS 360 – USE MOUSE / TRACKPAD TO EXPLORE.

We created the VIDI project at Material to help people grasp the drastic effects of climate change on Glasgow city centre. The images are of George Square in 2040 as a utopia and distopia.

Although both outcomes seem far fetched – they are both actually made up of components taken from the research done by a UK wide group of academics and professors called The Climageneries.

The CGI imagery was created by SOLUIS.

I am happy to discuss all VR projects and help flesh out concepts and ideas to make the format work for your needs.
